Obituary for Wyatt R. Blalack

Wyatt Ray Blalack, 8, Rose Lake resident, Wyatt Ray Blalack, son of Wayne and Stephanie Blalack, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 28, 2019. He was 8 years old. Wyatt was born on September 3, 2010.

Wyatt loved to be outdoors hiking, camping, swinging, riding in his Commander, working on construction projects with his dad, watching his brother play sports, spending one on one time with his sister and mom or just plain hanging with all his family. Wyatt was happiest camping at “The Camping Spot” on the Coeur d’Alene River. It was his all-time favorite place. He had a smile that was infectious and a presence that was embraced by all. He brought joy to everyone he met by just being himself. There was never a shortage of friendship and love in his life.
Although Wyatt’s life was short it was full of fun adventures. His family saw to it that he lived life to the fullest whether it was trips to the Oregon coast, a sand beach on Maui, or a hike in Glacier National Park.

Wyatt is survived by his parents Wayne and Stephanie Blalack, older brother Coleman and younger sister Sadie; his caregiver, Becca Didion; grandparents Steve and Jennifer Adamson of Woodland WA and Reese and Cristie Blalack of Kingston; great grandparents Dan and Dolores Johnston of Rose Lake, Carol Evans of Gresham OR, and Mary Etta White of Rose Lake; aunts and uncles Brian and Ashley Erdahl of Woodland WA, Trisha Blalack and Jason Lancaster of Spokane, and cousins Cade Stevenson and Maddy Erdahl of Woodland WA.

Please join us in a celebration of Wyatt - in true Wyatt fashion - at the Pinehurst Park on Saturday August 10th at 11am. Lunch will be served. We want to celebrate Wyatt in a way he will enjoy so let’s gather together and let the kids play.

There has been a Go Fund Me page setup to honor Wyatt. We are collecting funds to purchase swings that benefit special needs children for parks in the area. We believe every park should have a swing available for children of all abilities.
