Obituary

Christa L. Yount, age 35, of Rathdrum, Idaho died February 14, 2004 at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur dâ€(TM)Alene. Christa was born October 21, 1968 in Kellogg, Idaho. She lived in Wallace, ID with her family and attended Wallace schools. It was there she met her life long best friends, and there she began her deep faith in God. In 1983 Christa moved with her family to Rathdrum where she and her sister, Kelly and brother, Jeffry attended Lakeland schools. Although the move was hard for her, she soon made wonderful new friends.
Christa loved school. She was active in basketball, cheerleading, Ski Club, FHA, and numerous others. She loved music and dancing, and she was Rathdrumâ€(TM)s first Junior Miss.
Christa was an extraordinarily beautiful person, which led her to modeling locally as well as for Nordstrom and the Bon Marche. She loved beauty pageants and she did well at winning many, including a national beauty contest in Oklahoma City.
She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Coeur dâ€(TM)Alene. She attended CCD and was confirmed Catholic. Her faith became the strength in her life.
Christa met and married her high school sweetheart, David Yount. They have three beautiful children, Brittany 13, Joshua 12, and Brandon 9. Christa loved her family and lived every minute of her life for them.
Christa and David lived in Spokane for many years. There she worked for Spokane Railway Credit Union, Spokane Chamber of Commerce and for Dr. Wendel at the time of her death. She loved her work and all the wonderful people there.
Christa, Dave and their children moved back to Rathdrum in the spring of 2002 to build their dream home overlooking Twin Lakes. She was so happy to be home and she loved the lake. Twin Lakes was Christaâ€(TM)s favorite place in the world.
She loved swimming, water and snow skiing, biking, working out and drinking Granitaâ€(TM)s. (Thanks Larry). There are no words to express how wonderful she was and how much her whole family loved her. She will be missed in a way that can not be explained. She is with the Lord surrounded by his love.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, David; their children, Brittany, Joshua and Brandon; her parents, Rene and Marie Lacroix of Rathdrum; one sister, Kelly Lacroix-Henson and family of Hayden Lake, ID; one brother, Jeffry Lacroix and family of Rathdrum; her grandmothers, Angela Walker of Wallace, ID and Pat Lacroix of Spokane, WA; her mother-in-law, Kay Bradley; her great grandmother, Edith Hanson; her brother-in-law and wife, Rob and Tammi Yount; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A vigil service will be 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 20, 2004 at the Yates Funeral Home, Coeur dâ€(TM)Alene Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 21, 2004 at the St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft Ave. Coeur dâ€(TM)Alene. Memorial Donations may be made to Positive Life Radio (KEEH 104.7) P.O.
